Find the right doctor

My 2nd new born had jaundice with high bilirubin readings. He was sent back to where he was born and had phototherapy.

I am comparing the billing amount and services received, with one of my friends in another hospital which everybody thinks that it's the most expensive medical centre.

My baby was sent in for treatment for one day, and the amount is RM456. My fren's baby was sent in about a month before, for 2 days. She was charged about RM650. She was given a full detail report, recording the amount of phototherapy and how long her baby was exposed for EACH DAY !

Mine was instead given this.

Other than this, I sent in 12oz of breastmilk at about 8:30am for the nurse to feed my baby. By the time we discharge him at about 2pm, the nurse said the breastmilk had finished feeding my baby. Base on common sense, do you think a 5 days old baby can consume 12oz of liquid in about 5 hours? I wonder how big a baby's stomach is.

The lesson of the day :
Don't believe when people say a particular hospital is very expensive. It depends on how much doctor wants to charge you. So go find the right doctor.
